The Macmillan Cancer Information Network has now come to an end. Its aim was to set up a network of Macmillan information hosts across East Sussex.

The end of project report can be downloaded below.

“People in Sussex affected by cancer do not always currently have good access to the information and support they need. In work Macmillan undertook prior to the project starting it was clear that the biggest gaps in information provision for people affected by Cancer were in East Sussex.  The project will result in the development of a network of Sussex Macmillan Information Hosts and Champions that will improve access to information and support for people affected by cancer across East Sussex. “

“With Greta’s determination and organisation, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has benefitted greatly from the project. Cancer patients will have access to better quality information, not only in the acute hospitals, but also in ‘satellite’ areas, including Bexhill Hospital. I feel that Greta’s work will positively impact East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s cancer patients particularly, as the it does serve populations particularly in need of access to information, such as an increased elderly population and pockets of more deprived areas."
