Healthwatch East Sussex Eastbourne Listening Tour One Year On 

Healthwatch East Sussex hosted the Eastbourne Listening Tour between the 15th and the 30th of October 2022.

During the tour Healthwatch gathered the views and experiences of Eastbourne residents to help decision makers improve local health and care services.

On the 20th October 2023, we hosted ‘a year on’ from the Eastbourne Listening Tour drop-in event to look back at the work that took place and what’s happened since the tour.

East Sussex Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise (VCSE) Alliance Annual Conference 2023 

On Wednesday the 8th November, the East Sussex VCSE Alliance held their 2023 Annual Conference at The View Hotel in Eastbourne.

The event was open to the public, community groups and local organisations, who came along and contribute their views and experiences to the discussions.

Healthwatch East Sussex Listening Tour 2023 

From Monday 10th to the 24th September, Healthwatch East Sussex held their Listening Tour, which was a two-week programme of activity across Rye and the surrounding villages to talk to local people about their views and experiences of health and social care services.

They used a wide range of engagement activities to understand people’s experiences and views on health and care, including service visits, pop up stands and focus groups.

It Takes a Village to Raise a Child (VRAC) – Sharing Our Learning

On the 13th July 2023, VRAC hosted its final local learning event. The event was hosted at The View Hotel, Eastbourne.

Thank you to everyone that attended the event and we hope it was a positive experience for you.

We shared our findings from the project and hosted and activity sessions tasking event attendees with creating a map of their ‘Village to Raise a Child’ with prompts taken from the VRAC recommendations.

Healthwatch East Sussex Annual Event 2023

On the 13th July 2023, Healthwatch East Sussex hosted its 2023 Annual Event, at The View Hotel, Eastbourne.

It was great to see so many people in attendance. We were joined by members of the public and our colleagues from statutory and voluntary organisations.

Many thanks to all those who attended, we hope you found the event useful and enjoyed it as much as we did.

It was great to be able to share our achievements from the last 10 years and to share our plans for the future, as well as to receive feedback and engage in lively discussions about health and care in East Sussex.

It Takes a Village to Raise a Child (VRAC) Learning Event

On the 16th of November 2022, VRAC presented the results of the project at the final event in Mechelen.

It was a day full of thought-provoking workshops, hands-on sessions, encounters and exchanges, with international experiences from the UK, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
